Candidate Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship
Must be a U.S. Citizen at the time of filing. -

Voter Status
Registered voter in Davis County. -
🏠
Residency
At least a one-year resident of Davis County immediately preceding the election date. -

Professional Certification
Must be a registered professional land surveyor in the State of Utah. -
🏛️
Party Affiliation
Must be a member of a registered political party (or unaffiliated). -
⚖️
Felony Convictions
All felony convictions must have been expunged, OR ten years must have passed since the most recent conviction, with all court-ordered fines paid, probation/parole completed, and incarceration served.
Additional Submission Requirements
Conflict of Interest Disclosure
Must be submitted to the County Clerk no later than three days before the party submits the candidate’s name to the County Legislative Body.

Final Submission Deadline
August 13, 2026 • 5:00 p.m.
